Tootlusnõudlus

Tootlusnõudlus is an Estonian term that translates to "demand for yield" or "yield seeking." It refers to a phenomenon in finance and economics where investors, due to low interest rates or other market conditions, are driven to seek out higher returns on their investments. This often involves taking on greater risk than they might otherwise be comfortable with.

The concept of tootlusnõudlus arises when traditional, lower-risk investment vehicles, such as government bonds or savings accounts, offer very little return. In such an environment, investors may be compelled to explore alternative assets like corporate bonds with lower credit ratings, emerging market equities, or even more speculative instruments to achieve their desired financial goals.
