Tollori

Tollori is a fictional town and municipal district in the northern part of Valoria, a temperate country in the Euradia region. It sits along the Nera River and serves as the administrative seat of Tollori District. The population is about 12,000.

The name Tollori has unclear origins. Local tradition links it to a historic toll station at a river crossing, while linguistic studies suggest a pre-Roman substrate in the regional language.

Tollori grew from a river crossing into a market town during the medieval period. It received a town charter in the 15th century and later became part of the Valorian state during the 19th century reforms.

Geographically, Tollori sits on rolling hills with vineyards on southern slopes and broad river meadows to the north. The climate is temperate, with warm summers and cool, wet winters, and about 750 millimeters of annual precipitation.

The economy blends agriculture, notably grapes and olives, with small-scale manufacturing and services. Tollori is connected by a regional railway and bus network; it does not have an airport, and road links connect it to nearby towns.

Landmarks include Tollori Cathedral, a Gothic revival church, and the riverside park. The town hosts an annual harvest festival with markets, music, and crafts, and traditional crafts such as ceramics are produced locally.

Governance is provided by a municipal council. Demographic trends show gradual growth in the 20th century and aging in recent decades, with a diverse but small minority community contributing to local culture.
