Toimeenpanosäännökset, often translated as implementing regulations or executive orders, are legal provisions that provide the detailed framework for the application of a law. When the Finnish Parliament (Eduskunta) passes an act, it may contain broad principles and objectives. To make these principles practically enforceable and to specify how they are to be carried out in everyday situations, more detailed rules are needed.
