Tirumozhi

Tirumozhi is a seminal work of Tamil devotional literature, composed by the Alvars, a group of twelve ancient Tamil poet-saints. Specifically, Tirumoli refers to the collection of hymns attributed to one of the most prominent Alvars, Thirumangai Alvar. These hymns are a part of the larger compilation known as the Naalayira Divya Prabandham, which consists of approximately 4,000 Tamil verses dedicated to Vishnu.

The Tirumozhi hymns are characterized by their rich imagery, poetic beauty, and profound expression of devotion. Thirumangai Alvar's verses often explore various moods and themes, including love, longing, praise, and supplication to Vishnu.
