Tippsüsteeme are betting systems used in sports tipping and betting pools. They organize a set of individual predictions into a single wager that covers multiple possible outcomes, rather than relying on a single chosen result. By forming a system from several selections, bettors generate multiple smaller bets and potentially increase their chances of some winnings.

Mechanics and example: A bettor selects n tips for n matches. A system converts these into all combinations of a chosen size, producing a number of bets equal to the combination count. For example, a 7-from-9 system uses nine predictions and forms all 7-pick combinations, yielding 36 bets. The total stake is the base stake multiplied by the number of combinations. Payouts depend on how many of the tips win and on the odds attached to the winning lines.

Variants and usage: Full system bets cover all possible combinations of a given size from the selected tips. Partial systems require a minimum number of correct tips to win, while rolling or flexible systems extend over time or across events. Tipp­süsteeme are commonly offered in football pools and bookmaker platforms in many European countries and are used by individual bettors and tipping groups to diversify risk.

Limitations and criticism: Tipp­süsteeme do not guarantee profit; they change risk and return profiles and can be expensive as the number of combinations grows. The expected value depends on the odds and the accuracy of the individual tips, and some systems may yield many small wins rather than a large payout. They are typically viewed as a way to broaden coverage rather than a reliable profit strategy.
