Tihedusmuutused

Tihedusmuutused, also known as density changes, refer to alterations in the density of a substance or material. Density is defined as the mass of a substance per unit volume, typically expressed in kilograms per cubic meter (kg/m³) or grams per cubic centimeter (g/cm³). Tihedusmuutused can occur due to various factors, including changes in temperature, pressure, or the addition of other substances.

One common example of tihedusmuutused is the expansion and contraction of liquids and solids with temperature changes. As temperature increases, the kinetic energy of the particles within a substance also increases, causing them to move more freely and occupy a larger volume. This results in a decrease in density. Conversely, as temperature decreases, the particles slow down and occupy less space, leading to an increase in density.

Pressure changes can also induce tihedusmuutused. Increasing pressure typically compresses a substance, reducing its volume and increasing its density. Conversely, decreasing pressure allows the substance to expand, decreasing its density.
