Tiedealalla

Tiedealalla is a uninhabited island located in the Aegean Sea, part of the Rusan Islands archipelago in Greece. With an area of approximately 10 hectares, the island is of volcanic origin and features an unusual rock formation, characterized by compacted pumice stone.

The island's geology is a result of volcanic activity, with rocks consisting mainly of dark-colored andesites and basalts. Its landscape is dominated by several rocky outcrops, sparse vegetation, and a sparse cover of low-growing bushes.

Tiedealalla has no permanent residents and lacks infrastructure, such as water supply, electricity, or housing. Visiting the island is only possible by private boat, and occasional sailing vessels may break their journey there. Access is difficult due to the waves' strong currents and steep cliffs that border the island.

In the surrounding waters, the island's veterinary importance is related to the periodic migrations of marine birds and turtles. Its remote location far away from human habitation protects its unsullied natural environment from the kinds of disruptions associated with human activity. As a result, Tiedealalla has retained a form of natural habitat known as integrous wilderness that exists relatively outside the rhythm of development seen in nearby areas.

Despite the relatively remote location, there have been several documented instances of undiscovered alien plant and animal species having been identified on uninhabited islands with organic forms. But no direct comparison to these observations exist on tiedealalla yet.
