Threngir is a fictional town situated in the northern part of the imagined nation of Nordmark. It lies along the Darn River and serves as the regional center for surrounding agricultural communities. The population is about 6,800 residents.

The town sits on a river plain at the foothills of the Grendel Range, with nearby deciduous forests. The climate is temperate, with cool summers, mild winters, and rainfall throughout the year.

Threngir was founded in the 12th century by traders and carpenters who settled near a river crossing. It grew around a guild market and prospered under regional charters. The arrival of the regional railway in the late 19th century spurred modernization.

The local economy relies on small-scale manufacturing, timber, and agriculture, complemented by services and tourism. The town is known for craft traditions such as glasswork and weaving. A weekly market and an annual harvest festival are central to community life.
