Therapeutin is a term used in German-speaking regions to refer to a woman who provides professional therapy. It is the feminine form of Therapeut and denotes a practitioner who offers therapeutic services to individuals or groups.

Etymology: The word derives from the Greek therapeuein via the German root Therapeut, with the feminine suffix -in.

Scope: The term covers a range of disciplines, including psychotherapy (psychotherapist), physiotherapy (physiotherapist), occupational therapy (ergotherapist), and speech therapy (logopedist/logopäde). However, the title Therapeutin is not a fixed professional title in itself; the required credentials depend on the specific field and jurisdiction.

Education and regulation: In most countries, becoming a Therapeutin requires formal education and credentialing.
