Examples include dyeing and printing for color, calendering for smoothness, and treatments for water repellency, flame retardancy, or antimicrobial properties. Modern textile technologies also integrate advanced materials and smart functionalities, leading to technical textiles used in specialized applications such as aerospace, medical devices, and protective clothing.
