Testsequentie

Testsequentie is a term used to describe a planned, ordered set of tests applied to a device, system, process, or dataset to verify whether it meets specified requirements. The concept emphasizes the sequence and the interaction between individual tests, rather than a single isolated test. Testsequenties are used to assess functionality, performance, reliability, safety, and compliance across various domains.

A testsequentie typically includes several components: the objective and scope, the test cases and data, the required test environment and instruments, the procedures for executing each test, the expected results, and the criteria for passing or failing. Traceability to the underlying requirements and documentation of results are common practices. The design of a testsequentie considers dependencies between tests, the order of execution, repeatability, and risk-based prioritization to focus on the most critical aspects first.
