Teräväpiirtotarkkuus
Teräväpiirtotarkkuus, often abbreviated as HD, refers to a television or display resolution that is significantly higher than standard definition (SD). The most common teräväpiirtotarkkuus resolutions are 1280x720 pixels (720p) and 1920x1080 pixels (1080i or 1080p). The "p" in 720p and 1080p stands for progressive scan, where each frame is displayed as a complete picture. The "i" in 1080i stands for interlaced scan, where each frame is displayed as two separate fields, one with odd lines and one with even lines, which are then combined. Progressive scan generally offers a sharper and smoother image, especially during fast motion. Teräväpiirtotarkkuus offers a much more detailed and clearer image compared to standard definition, making it the standard for modern broadcasting, Blu-ray discs, and online streaming services. The increased pixel count allows for finer details, sharper edges, and more vibrant colors, significantly enhancing the viewing experience. The adoption of teräväpiirtotarkkuus has been a major advancement in visual technology, widely adopted across the globe.
