Termometreihin

Termometreihin is Finnish, the illative plural form of termometri, and refers to thermometers—devices used to measure temperature. In Finnish usage the form is common in sentences that indicate movement toward or into thermometers, but it also serves as a title for topics discussing thermometers in general. Thermometers are essential tools in medicine, science, industry and meteorology, providing readings across a wide range of environments.

There are several main types of thermometers. Measurements are typically reported in Celsius or Fahrenheit, with Kelvin used in scientific work. Calibration and traceability to international standards ensure accuracy, while safety considerations have reduced the use of mercury in many applications. Thermometers enable temperature monitoring, process control, fever screening and environmental sensing, making them ubiquitous across multiple fields.
