Termetërmetët
Termetërmetët, often referred to as earthquakes, are natural phenomena characterized by the sudden release of energy in the Earth's crust that creates seismic waves. This energy is typically accumulated over time due to the slow movement of tectonic plates, which are large pieces of the Earth's lithosphere. When the stress along the boundaries of these plates exceeds the strength of the rocks, a rupture occurs, leading to an earthquake.
The point where the earthquake originates is called the hypocenter or focus, and the point directly above
Earthquakes can cause a wide range of effects, from barely perceptible tremors to catastrophic ground shaking.
