Telinevoimistelu

Telinevoimistelu is a discipline within gymnastics that focuses on routines performed on apparatus. In Finnish, it refers to artistic gymnastics and is governed internationally by the Fédération Internationale de Gymnastique (FIG) and nationally by Suomen Voimisteluliitto.

Events and apparatus: In men's artistic gymnastics, events include floor exercise, pommel horse, still rings, vault, parallel bars, and the horizontal bar. In women's artistic gymnastics, events include floor exercise, vault, uneven bars, and balance beam. All-around competition combines results across events, with athletes and teams competing at various levels.

Competition and scoring: Routines are designed to balance difficulty with execution. Scoring follows the Code of Points, combining a difficulty score and an execution score, with deductions for errors. Major competitions include national championships, continental championships such as the European Championships, World Championships, and the Olympic Games.
