Telecinco is a Spanish free-to-air television channel owned by Mediaset España Comunicación, the Spanish subsidiary of the Italian media group Mediaset S.p.A. It began broadcasts on 3 March 1990 as Tele 5, adopting the Telecinco brand in the early 1990s.
