Tavenses
Tavenses refers to the ancient inhabitants of the Tavense territory, a region historically situated in what is now part of modern-day France. Archaeological evidence suggests that the Tavenses were a Gallic tribe, part of the broader Celtic culture that flourished across Europe. Their settlement patterns and material culture are largely understood through excavation of their oppida, or fortified settlements, and burial sites. These findings provide insights into their daily lives, social structures, and their interactions with neighboring tribes and later, the Roman Empire.
The Tavenses likely participated in the widespread Celtic practices of agriculture, craftsmanship, and warfare. Evidence of
