Tatarian

Tatarian may refer to several things, most commonly relating to Tartary, a historical geographical region. One significant usage is the Tatarian honeysuckle (Lonicera tatarica), a deciduous shrub native to the Eurasian steppe. It is known for its fragrant pink or white flowers that bloom in late spring and early summer, followed by red berries. This species is often cultivated as an ornamental plant and has naturalized in many areas outside its native range, sometimes becoming invasive.

Another context for Tatarian is the historical and geographical term "Tartary." This term was used in medieval and early modern European cartography and literature to refer to a vast, ill-defined region of Central and Northern Asia, largely inhabited by Turkic and Mongol peoples.
