Tasemmests

Tasemmests is a fictional astronomical phenomenon. It is characterized by a temporary and localized increase in the perceived brightness of distant stars, often appearing as a brief, intense shimmer or flare. This effect is not caused by any actual change in the star's luminosity but rather by the gravitational lensing of interstellar dust clouds. These clouds, when passing between the observer and the star, refract and magnify the starlight, creating the illusion of a brighter star.

The duration of a Tasemmests event is typically very short, lasting from a few seconds to a couple of minutes. The intensity of the flare is dependent on the density and composition of the dust cloud, as well as its proximity to the line of sight. While rare, Tasemmests events have been observed by astronomers using advanced telescopic equipment.
