Tarbijamõõtjad

Tarbijamõõtjad refer to measuring devices used to quantify the consumption of resources, primarily electricity, gas, and water, by end-users. These devices are crucial for accurate billing and for providing consumers with insights into their usage patterns. In Estonia, like in many other countries, the installation and maintenance of these meters are regulated by national legislation and overseen by energy companies or utility providers.

Electricity meters, often called kilovolt-ampere-hour (kVAh) meters, record the amount of electrical energy consumed. Gas meters measure the volume of natural gas used, typically in cubic meters. Water meters, similarly, track the volume of water consumed, usually in cubic meters or liters. The data collected by these meters can be read manually or remotely through smart metering technologies.
