Taidealaisuus
Taidealaisuus, or art nouveau, is an international style of art, architecture, and design that emerged in the late 19th century and flourished until the early 20th century. The term "art nouveau" was coined by the French critic Charles Baudelaire in 1860, but it was not until the 1890s that the style gained widespread recognition. The movement was characterized by its use of flowing, organic forms, intricate patterns, and a preference for natural materials such as wood, iron, and glass.
Art nouveau was influenced by a variety of sources, including Japanese art, Art Deco, and the Arts
The style's emphasis on natural forms and patterns was a reaction against the industrialization and mechanization
Despite its popularity, art nouveau was not without its critics. Some saw it as a mere fad
