Tahdistimella

Tahdistimella is a Finnish term that translates to "with a pacemaker" in English. It refers to the use of a cardiac pacemaker, an electronic medical device that helps regulate an abnormal heart rhythm. A pacemaker is surgically implanted in individuals who experience a slow heart rate (bradycardia) or irregular heartbeats (arrhythmia) that can cause symptoms such as dizziness, fainting, fatigue, and shortness of breath.

The device consists of a pulse generator, containing a battery and circuitry, and one or more leads that connect the pulse generator to the heart muscle. The pulse generator monitors the heart's electrical activity and, if it detects an abnormal rhythm, sends electrical impulses to stimulate the heart to beat at a normal rate.
