Tagsatzung
The Tagsatzung was the federal diet or assembly of the Old Swiss Confederacy. It served as the central political institution of the confederation for centuries. The Tagsatzung was not a permanent body but convened periodically, typically once or twice a year, in different locations such as Baden, Frauenfeld, or Zurich. Each of the thirteen cantons sent delegates, usually two representatives per canton, who were instructed by their respective cantonal governments.
