TagandCombat

Tag-and-Combat is a tactical multiplayer mode for the video game Team Fortress 2, developed and published by Valve Corporation. It was introduced in the game's "Rise and Fall" update, which was released on June 23, 2021.

In Tag-and-Combat, two teams of players engage in a unique blend of tag and capture-the-flag gameplay. The objective for one team is to tag members of the opposing team while avoiding being tagged themselves. The team that achieves the most tags within the allotted time earns the most points. The team with the most points at the end of the match is declared the winner.

Players can earn tags by physically touching an opponent, with each tag awarded points depending on the opponent's level. The match also features special flags that grant bonus points to the team that captures them. Earning passes by surviving for a set amount of time without being tagged also gives teams points.

Several game modes are available in Tag-and-Combat, such as "007," "Timeless," and "Scrap Bonanza." Each game mode provides unique features and scoring twists. As with regular Team Fortress 2 gameplay, players can choose from nine playable classes, each with its unique abilities and strengths.

Tag-and-Combat encourages strategic play by rewarding teams for adapting to the game's dynamic scoring system. As in traditional Capture the Flag and tag modes, communication and coordination among teammates are key to success in this mode. The introduction of this mode aimed to enhance gameplay variety and provide fans of Team Fortress 2 with a new challenge to tackle in their game sessions.
