TTL integrated circuits are characterized by their stable operation and relatively high speed compared to earlier logic families like RTL (Resistor-Transistor Logic). They typically operate with a 5-volt power supply. A key feature of TTL is its characteristic output voltage levels for logical HIGH and LOW states. A logical HIGH is typically between 2.0 and 5.0 volts, while a logical LOW is between 0.0 and 0.8 volts.
