TNnäytöillä is a Finnish term that translates to "on TN displays" or "with TN screens." TN stands for Twisted Nematic, which is a type of liquid crystal display (LCD) technology. TN panels were among the earliest LCD technologies and remain widely used due to their cost-effectiveness and fast response times.

The primary advantage of TN displays is their speed. They have very low pixel response times, which means that pixels can change their color state quickly. This makes them ideal for fast-paced gaming and other applications where motion blur can be a significant issue. Their manufacturing process is also relatively simple and inexpensive compared to other LCD technologies like IPS (In-Plane Switching) or VA (Vertical Alignment).

However, TN panels have notable drawbacks. Their color reproduction and viewing angles are generally inferior to other LCD technologies. Colors can appear washed out when viewed from an angle, and the contrast ratio is often not as high as on IPS or VA displays. This means that TN screens are less suitable for professional color-critical work like photo editing or graphic design, and may not provide the best viewing experience for movies or general media consumption if viewed off-center.

Despite their limitations, TNnäytöillä are still prevalent in many budget-friendly monitors and laptops. They offer a good balance of performance and affordability for users who prioritize speed and cost over ultimate color accuracy and wide viewing angles.
