T800

The T-800, also known as Cyberdyne Systems Model 101, is a fictional cybernetic organism in the Terminator franchise. It is a product of Cyberdyne Systems and the designation 101 refers to the model number. In-universe, the T-800 is a cybernetic organism with living tissue over a hyperalloy endoskeleton, designed for infiltration and assassination. It can imitate human behavior, speak with a natural voice, and use advanced manipulation to blend in. Its living tissue allows it to pass for a human, while its endoskeleton provides superior strength and durability.

The T-800 first appears in The Terminator (1984) as the primary antagonist, sent from 2029 to 1984 to kill Sarah Connor. It is portrayed on screen by Arnold Schwarzenegger and commonly referred to as the Model 101. In the franchise, a reprogrammed T-800 is later sent to protect Sarah Connor in Terminator 2: Judgment Day. The T-800 is a prototype of the later T-800 series and is depicted as highly durable, difficult to stop, and capable of making tactical decisions.

In subsequent films and media, the Model 101 remains a recurring figure, with improvements and variants such as the T-850 and other models introduced by Cyberdyne. The T-800 has become one of the franchise's most recognizable symbols, emblematic of the broader themes of human-technology interactions and the ethics of advanced artificial intelligence.
