Tóftestindur

Tóftestindur is a prominent mountain located in the southern part of Iceland, within the municipality of Rangárþing eystra in the region of Suðurland. Rising to an elevation of 1,040 meters (3,412 feet), it is one of the most recognizable peaks in the country due to its distinctive, flat-topped summit resembling a table, which gives it its name—*tóftestindur* translates roughly to "table-top mountain" in English.

The mountain is situated near the small village of Hella and is part of the larger volcanic landscape shaped by Iceland’s geothermal activity.
