Täiskaader

Täiskaader refers to a full-frame sensor size in digital cameras. This size is based on the traditional 35mm film format, measuring approximately 36mm by 24mm. Cameras equipped with a full-frame sensor are often considered professional-grade due to the sensor's larger surface area compared to smaller formats like APS-C or Micro Four Thirds.

The larger sensor size of full-frame cameras offers several advantages. It generally allows for better low-light performance, producing cleaner images with less noise at higher ISO settings. Full-frame sensors also enable a shallower depth of field, making it easier for photographers to achieve background blur (bokeh) and isolate their subjects. This is particularly desirable for portrait and artistic photography. Additionally, lenses designed for full-frame cameras tend to perform at their native focal length without any crop factor, providing a wider field of view compared to their use on smaller sensor cameras.

Conversely, full-frame cameras and their associated lenses can be larger, heavier, and more expensive than their cropped-sensor counterparts. The larger sensor also requires more pixels to achieve the same pixel density as a smaller sensor, which can impact overall resolution if the pixel count remains the same. Despite these considerations, full-frame systems remain a popular choice for many professional and enthusiast photographers seeking the highest image quality and creative control.
