Südoststeiermark

Südoststeiermark, often translated as Southeast Styria, is a district in the Austrian state of Styria. It was formed in 2015 as part of a municipal reform, merging the former districts of Feldbach, Radkersburg, and parts of Hartberg. The district capital is Feldbach.

The region is characterized by rolling hills, vineyards, and agricultural land. It is renowned for its wine production, particularly its white wines like Sauvignon Blanc and Welschriesling. The Südoststeiermark is also known for its thermal spas and health resorts, attracting visitors seeking relaxation and wellness.

Key towns and attractions in Südoststeiermark include Bad Radkersburg, a historic spa town on the Mur river; Feldbach, with its prominent castle Eggenberg; and Riegersburg, home to a dramatic cliff-top castle.
