Södermanlandissa is a Swedish word meaning "in Södermanland". Södermanland is a historical province in Sweden, located on the southern shore of Lake Mälaren and bordering the Baltic Sea. Today, it forms the core of the modern Södermanland County, which also includes parts of the former provinces of Närke and Östergötland. The capital of the historical province was originally Nyköping, which remains an important town in the region.
