Szívösszehúzódások, also known as cardiac contractions or heart contractions, are the rhythmic movements of the heart's muscle fibers that pump blood throughout the body. These contractions are essential for maintaining proper blood circulation and oxygen supply to tissues and organs. Each heartbeat consists of two main phases: systole and diastole. Systole is the phase during which the heart muscle contracts, pushing blood out of the heart chambers and into the arteries. Diastole is the phase when the heart muscle relaxes, allowing it to fill with blood from the veins. The heart rate, or the number of contractions per minute, is typically around 60 to 100 beats per minute in a healthy adult at rest. Factors such as physical activity, stress, and certain medical conditions can influence heart rate and the force of contractions. Abnormalities in heart contractions can lead to conditions like arrhythmias, heart failure, or other cardiovascular diseases. Regular monitoring of heart contractions is crucial for diagnosing and managing various heart conditions.
