Színrendszerek refer to organized frameworks used to describe, classify, and reproduce colors. They are essential tools in fields such as art, design, printing, and digital imaging. A primary goal of color systems is to establish a common language for color, allowing for consistent communication and accurate replication across different media and devices.

Color systems can be broadly categorized into additive and subtractive models. Additive color systems, like the RGB (Red, Green, Blue) model, are used for light-emitting devices such as computer monitors and television screens. In this system, colors are created by adding different intensities of red, green, and blue light. Combining all three at full intensity results in white, while the absence of light produces black.

Subtractive color systems, such as CMYK (Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, Key/Black), are used in printing and other processes where pigments or inks are applied to a surface. Here, colors are formed by subtracting light from white. For instance, cyan ink absorbs red light, magenta absorbs green light, and yellow absorbs blue light. Combining these inks theoretically produces black, though a separate black ink (Key) is typically used for better depth and detail.

Beyond these fundamental models, various other color systems exist. The HSL (Hue, Saturation, Lightness) and HSV (Hue, Saturation, Value) models offer intuitive ways to describe colors based on their shade, intensity, and brightness, making them useful for color selection and manipulation. Pantone is a proprietary color matching system widely used in the printing industry to ensure consistent color reproduction across different manufacturing processes. Color systems are fundamental to achieving visual accuracy and consistency in a wide range of applications.
