Szélességét

Szélességét is a possessive form of the Hungarian noun szélesség, meaning "width." The term appears in geometry, architecture, design, and everyday measurement to denote the horizontal extent of an object, typically measured as the distance between its two most distant points along a horizontal axis.

In geometry and mathematics, szélesség (width) is the distance between two parallel sides or the maximum horizontal distance across a shape. For rectangles and parallelograms, width is often identified with the shorter side when the figure is oriented so that that side is horizontal. It is distinct from length (hosszúság) and height (magasság); length usually refers to the longer extent along the object, while height refers to its vertical extent.

Measurement uses standard units such as meters, centimeters, millimeters, or inches. In applied contexts, width may be given in pixels or percentage values in digital design, and in textiles or fabrics it is expressed in centimeters or meters per roll.

Applications abound: the width of a doorway affects accessibility, the width of roads influences traffic capacity, and the display width determines layout in web and app interfaces. In manufacturing, tolerances specify acceptable variation in width to ensure fit and function.

In Hungarian grammar, szélességét is the accusative/genitive form signifying "its width" or "the width of X." It is used when the object’s width is the focus of the statement, e.g., A szélességét megmérték, or A tárgy szélességét a röntgenvizsgálat során ellenőrizték.
