Switchare

In formal or journalistic Italian, alternatives such as passare, cambiare, or selezionare may be preferred, depending on the context, with switchare sometimes accompanied by an English gloss for clarity.

Noun form and variants: The corresponding noun lo switch is widely understood to mean a physical or logical switch, such as a network switch or a control switch.
