Elina Svitolina (Ukrainian: Еліна Світоліна; born 12 September 1994) is a Ukrainian professional tennis player who has been ranked as high as world No. 3 in singles. She has won numerous WTA Tour singles titles and has been a regular presence in the top ranks since breaking through in the mid-2010s. Svitolina began playing tennis at the age of five in Odesa, Ukraine, and turned professional in 2010. After success on the ITF Circuit, she made her WTA breakthrough in the following years, capturing her first tour title and climbing the rankings.
