SunFs
SunFs, also known as the Sun Microsystems File System, was a proprietary file system developed by Sun Microsystems. It was the default file system for early versions of the SunOS operating system, which was the precursor to Solaris. SunFs was designed for performance and reliability, featuring a hierarchical structure for organizing files and directories. It supported features such as file permissions, symbolic links, and hard links, which are standard in many Unix-like file systems.
The file system was characterized by its contiguous allocation strategy, which aimed to minimize disk fragmentation.
