Sulkemisilmausyräykset
Sulkemisilmausyräykset, a Finnish term, translates to "closing airbursts" or "closing explosions" in English. This phenomenon is a specific type of mine detonation that occurs when a sealed or contained explosive device is subjected to significant pressure, leading to a rapid release of energy. Unlike a standard surface detonation, a sulkemisilmausyräys involves the explosive material being encased, which alters the detonation characteristics. The confinement of the explosive can lead to a more focused and potentially more destructive blast wave as the pressure builds before the casing fails.
The term is most commonly associated with military contexts, particularly in relation to the use of anti-tank
