Sukkerrør
Sukkerrør, scientifically known as Saccharum officinarum, is a tall, perennial grass belonging to the Saccharum genus. It is a member of the Poaceae family, which also includes other important cereal crops. Sukkerrør is primarily cultivated for its ability to produce a large amount of sucrose, a type of sugar, which is extracted and refined for human consumption. The plant is characterized by its thick, segmented stalks that can reach heights of up to 6 meters (20 feet). These stalks are rich in juice, containing the valuable sucrose.

At the mill, the stalks are crushed to extract the juice. This juice is then boiled to
