Succineidae

Their diet consists primarily of decaying plant matter, algae, and sometimes fungi. Amber snails play a role in their ecosystems by contributing to decomposition and serving as a food source for various predators, including birds, amphibians, and other invertebrates. Their sensitivity to environmental conditions, particularly moisture levels, makes them potential bioindicators of habitat health.
