Something that is stufungslose is therefore continuous, smooth, or seamless, without any noticeable breaks or transitions.

In various fields, the concept of stufungslose can be applied. For example, in engineering and manufacturing, a stufungslose transmission in a vehicle allows for an infinitely variable range of gear ratios, providing smooth acceleration and optimal engine performance without the jarring shifts associated with traditional gearboxes.
