Strujanje

Strujanje is a term used in South Slavic languages to denote the act or process of flowing or moving through a medium. It is derived from the verb strujati, meaning to flow or stream, and is used in several contexts to describe how a quantity moves from one place to another.

In physics and engineering, strujanje refers to the flow of a substance or energy through a medium. Common examples include the strujanje of liquids in pipes, rivers, or oceans, and the strujanje of gases in the atmosphere or in ventilation systems. In fluid dynamics, strujanje is analyzed through concepts such as velocity fields, flux, and conservation laws, which describe how mass, momentum, and energy are transported.

In electrical contexts, the standard term for electric current is usually struja, but some texts or colloquial usage may refer to the flow of electric charges as strujanje. In such cases the concept is closely related to current, representing the movement of charges through a conductor, though the more precise term remains struja.

Outside of physical sciences, strujanje can be used more generally to describe any directed movement or flow within a system, including data streams, traffic flow, or air movements in a building or weather system. The concept emphasizes the directional transfer of a quantity, rather than merely its existence at a point.
