Strandlenda is a geographical term referring to a type of coastal landscape characterized by its low-lying, sandy or gravelly terrain immediately adjacent to the sea or a large body of water. These areas are often formed by the deposition of sediments carried by waves and currents. Strandlendas can be dynamic environments, subject to erosion and accretion, and their shape and extent can change over time due to natural processes.

These coastal plains typically lack significant elevation and may feature dunes, salt marshes, or a combination of these features depending on the specific environmental conditions.
