Stouffers
Stouffer's is an American brand of frozen prepared foods marketed by Nestlé. The line includes a range of single-serve entrées and family-size meals, with well-known items such as lasagna, macaroni and cheese, beef stroganoff, chicken parmesan, and the Hungry Man line of larger portions. The brand name derives from the Stouffer family, long associated with a Midwest restaurant chain. The frozen-entrees were developed as part of the company's expansion into packaged foods in the mid-20th century, and the Stouffer's line later became part of General Foods. Through later corporate changes, the brand is now owned by Nestlé and positioned as a leading American frozen-meal brand. Production and packaging have evolved to offer variety in sauces, textures, and sides, while maintaining a focus on convenience for home cooks. Stouffer's products are widely distributed across the United States and Canada, commonly heated in microwaves or conventional ovens. In response to market trends, Nestlé has introduced updated recipes and more ingredients lines while keeping traditional favorites available.
