Stimulimin

Stimulimin is a brand name for a drug used to treat depression and anxiety. It is a combination of two active ingredients: bupropion and mirtazapine. Bupropion is an antidepressant that works by increasing the levels of certain neurotransmitters in the brain, while mirtazapine is an antidepressant and anxiolytic that works by blocking certain receptors in the brain. Stimulimin is available in tablet form and is typically taken once or twice a day.

Stimulimin is indicated for the treatment of major depressive disorder, generalized anxiety disorder, and panic disorder. The typical starting dose for depression is 150 mg of bupropion and 15 mg of mirtazapine, taken once daily. For anxiety, the starting dose is 150 mg of bupropion and 30 mg of mirtazapine, taken once daily.

Common side effects of Stimulimin include nausea, dry mouth, dizziness, and insomnia. Serious side effects may include seizures, suicidal thoughts, and changes in heart rate. Stimulimin should be used with caution in patients with a history of seizures, heart disease, or liver disease. It should also be used with caution in pregnant or breastfeeding women, as there is limited information on its safety in these populations.

Stimulimin is not recommended for use in children or adolescents. It is important to follow the prescribed dosage and to report any side effects to a healthcare provider. Stimulimin should be taken with food to reduce the risk of nausea. It is not recommended to stop taking Stimulimin suddenly, as this can cause withdrawal symptoms.
