Stegastein
Stegastein is a prominent viewpoint located in Aurland, Norway. It juts out 30 meters from the mountainside, 650 meters above the Aurlandsfjorden, a branch of the Sognefjorden. The structure is made of wood and steel and features a glass barrier at the end, offering an unobstructed panoramic view of the fjord and the surrounding landscape. The design is intended to blend with its natural surroundings.
Construction of Stegastein was completed in 2005. It was designed by architects Todd Saunders and Tommie Wilhelmsen.
