Stabiiliuden

Stabiiliuden is a Finnish term that translates to "stability" in English. It is a broad concept applicable across various fields, including physics, chemistry, engineering, economics, and social sciences. In its most general sense, stabiiliuden refers to the ability of a system to resist disturbance or change and to return to its original state or equilibrium after being subjected to external forces.

In physics and chemistry, stabiiliuden relates to the tendency of a substance or system to remain in a particular state or configuration. For example, an atom is considered stable if its electron configuration is energetically favorable. A chemical compound exhibits stabiiliuden if it does not readily undergo decomposition or reaction.
