Spänningspeaktopeak, often abbreviated as Vpp or Vp-p, is a unit of measurement used to describe the amplitude of an alternating voltage waveform. It represents the absolute difference between the peak positive voltage and the peak negative voltage of a signal. In simpler terms, it is the total vertical distance covered by the waveform from its highest point to its lowest point on a voltage-time graph.

This measurement is particularly useful for characterizing signals like sine waves, square waves, and triangular waves, where the positive and negative excursions are symmetrical or have predictable extremes. For a pure sine wave, the peak-to-peak voltage is twice its peak voltage. For example, a sine wave with a peak voltage of 5 volts would have a peak-to-peak voltage of 10 volts.
