Spillene

Spillene is a fictional coastal region and archipelago in the northern hemisphere, part of the fictional continent of Norvalia. It is known for its maritime culture and biodiversity.

The name Spillene is derived from an archaic local word meaning "shore inlets," though exact origins are debated among scholars.

The Spillene Archipelago comprises about a dozen islands, with the largest being Skalhaven (the capital) and Brineport. The coastline features fjords, shallow straits, and kelp forests. Climate is temperate maritime, with cool summers and mild winters.

Inhabited since the Bronze Age, Spillene formed as a trading hub in the Middle Ages. It joined with neighboring regions into the Nordic Union in the 18th century and gained autonomous regional status in 1994.
