Spesifikasjonsspråk, often translated as specification languages, are formal or semi-formal languages used to describe the intended behavior, properties, or design of a system. These languages provide a precise and unambiguous way to communicate requirements, which can be crucial in software engineering, hardware design, and other complex technical fields. The goal of a specification language is to reduce ambiguity and misinterpretation that can arise from natural language descriptions.
